Our Story
The Global Harrisons story — from Gaziantep's thousands of years of culinary heritage to tables around the world.
Located at the meeting point of Mesopotamia — one of the earliest settlements of Anatolia — and the Mediterranean region, the city lies on the Silk Road and has been home to many civilisations. It has a mystical history in which different cultures came together and blended. Shaped by these civilisations, the cuisine of Gaziantep has earned a privileged place among the cuisines of the world. Its historical richness and the variety of ingredients brought by its location have given Gaziantep cuisine a great number of original dishes. By a decision taken in 2015, the city joined the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of gastronomy, alongside 116 cities.
With the historical flow of the Euphrates and the sun it holds captive, many products here have reached a special quality. With its ten-thousand-year-old ancestral wheat, the pistachio that carries the name of the city and the products made from them, it remains open to discoveries that will be talked about even more in the future. We are honoured to share this great heritage of flavour, created by many civilisations, with you — its partners.
